Markets in Financial Instruments Directive ("MiFID")
The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive („MiFID“) is the new European legislation which will have considerable impact upon the way financial services are provided across the EEA countries from 1 November 2007.
One of the new requirements is to categorise all clients under MiFID Rules and to take all necessary steps to obtain the best possible result (“best execution”) either when executing Orders or receiving and transmitting Orders for execution and to make available the appropriate information.
